For Petitioner : M/s.A.Mahalakshmi For 1st Respondent : Mr.S.Mariappan Central Government Standing Counsel For 2nd Respondent : Mr.Vaikkam Karunanidhi Government Advocate (Criminal side) 1/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP(MD)No.14904 of 2025 O R D E R This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the 1st respondent to issue the Passport to the petitioner, by considering the petitioner's application File No.MD1077551037325 and to permit the petitioner to go to abroad within the time limit. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 1st respondent as well as the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the 2nd respondent. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the 1st respondent would submit that FIRs have been registered against the petitioner, pursuant to which, charge sheet have also been filed and now cases are pending before the Judicial Magistrate No.1, Karaikudi, in CC Nos.1, 2 and 4 of 2024 for the offences under sections 120(b), 420 IPC and section 7(1)(a)(ii) of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955. 4.Since already cases are pending against the petitioner before the Judicial Magistrate No.1, Karaikudi, there can be no positive direction to process the application of the petitioner.
