The petitioner, through this writ petition, seeks a direction to respondent no. 2 to consider her request for transfer from District Saharanpur to District Bareilly on compassionate grounds. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that she is presently serving as a Constable in the Civil Police at Saharanpur. She is married to Mr. Gurmeet Singh, who was appointed as a Fireman in the Police Department on 18.06.2020 and is currently posted in District Bareilly. It is further submitted that, in light of paragraph 5(iii) of the State Government's Transfer Policy dated 11.06.2024, as enclosed with the petition as Annexure No. 5, the petitioner’s case is eligible for consideration for a posting along with her spouse. Learned Chief Standing Counsel has conceded the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner. With the consent of both parties, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation before respondent no. 2 within one week from today.
