The petitioner has also prayed for a direction to the respondent to release the left-out retiral benefits and the arrears on account of pay revision in reference to the 6th Pay Commission recommendations. 3. `This petition came up for consideration on 23.02.2016, when this Court, while issuing notice to the respondent for filing objections, also provided by way of an interim order that the writ petition shall not stand in the way of respondent in according consideration to the case of the petitioner for release of withheld retiral benefits, as may be permissible under law. 4. This petition is pending ever since and no steps have been taken by the petitioner to get it listed or pursued. It is evident that he has lost interest in pursuing the same. 5.
