Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. By this petition, the petitioner has prayed for the following relief:- "(i) ISSUE a writ order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding and directing the opposite parties to appoint the petitioner on the post of Anganbari Karyakatri." Learned Standing Counsel, on the basis of written instructions, has submitted that the petitioner is not a resident of the gram sabha for which the post of Anganwari Karyakarti was advertised. Therefore, in light of the Government Order dated 21.03.2023, she is ineligible, and consequently, could not be selected. The instructions submitted by the learned Standing Counsel are taken on record. In view of the aforesaid instructions, the relevant Government Order dated 21.03.2023, and the terms of the advertisement, the petition, being devoid of merit, is dismissed.
