Heard Shri M.H. Laskhar, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Shri R. Boro, learned Standing Counsel, AG and Ms. M.D. Bora, learned Standing Counsel, Transport Department. From the order sheets, it reflects that when the matter had come up for
consideration on 17.12.2021, this Court was informed that the petitioner had passed away in the meantime and time was granted to file substitution petition. The matter was listed thereafter on 09.09.2024 when further 2 (two) weeks time was granted to take necessary steps regarding substitution. The matter has been listed thereafter today which is after more than 6 (six) months and no steps have yet
Page No.# 3/3 been taken. Shri Laskar, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in spite of his best efforts, there is no instructions forthcoming for filing substitution application. It appears that the petitioner is not interested in pursuing this case. Accordingly the writ petition is dismissed for want of prosecution. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
