Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing counsel for respondent no. 1 to 5. Notice to respondent no. 6 is dispensed with in view of the proposed order. The petition has been filed with the following prayers:- "(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Certiorari quashing the impugned selection of the opposite party no.6 Kumari Seema Gautam on the post of Aganbari Karyakatri in village Panchayat Dulhandeeh, AWW Centre Dulhandeeh-2 (Unreserved), Block Tulsipur, District Balrampur by way of impugned final select list dated 21.4.2025 issued by the District Programme Officer, District Balrampur (opposite party no.5), in which the name of opposite party no.6 finds place at AWC Centre Dulhandeeh-2 (so far its relates with the selection of the opposite party no.6), as contained in Annexure No.1 to this writ petition. (ii) Issue a writ order of direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the opposite parties to consider the candidature of the petitioner for appointment on the post of Aganbari Karyakatri in Gram Panchayat Dulhandeeh, AWC Centre Dulhandeeh-2, Gaisadi, Tehsil Tulsipur, District Balrampur being most eligible and meritorious candidate of the merit list." Learned Standing Counsel, on the basis of written instructions, has submitted that the selected candidate, i.e., opposite party no. 6, obtained 9.352 marks on the basis of her educational and income certificates, whereas the petitioner secured only 6.1 marks. Therefore, respondent no. 6, being higher in merit, was selected for the post of Anganwari Karyakatri. Perused the record, so also the government order dated 21.03.2023. On due consideration to the fact that the selection on the post of Anganwari Karykatri has been made strictly on the basis of merit and the selected candidate has scored higher than the petitioner. The petition, being devoid of merit, is hereby dismissed. Order Date :- 8.5.2025 R.C. Digitally signed by :- RAM CHANDER YADAV High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, Lucknow Bench
