Present Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India with the following prayers:-
“(i) A writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to take the decision on the application made by the petitioner to purchase the land in the State of Uttarakhand, pending before the respondent no.2 (Annexure No.4 to this writ petition). (ii) Any other relief to the petitioner which this Hon’ble Court may deem fit. (iii) Award the cost of petition to the petitioner.”

It is not disputed between the parties that the present matter is covered by the order dated 07.01.2025, passed by this Court in WPMS No.3656 of
2024.

With the consent of both the parties, the present Writ Petition (M/S No.3649 of 2024) is
disposed of directing the respondent no.2 Zila Adhikari/ Collector, Haridwar to decide the petitioner’s application dated 01.07.2024 (Annexure No.4 to the writ petition) by a reasoned order and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, but not later than six weeks, from the date of production of certified copy of this
order.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merit of the case.
