Learned counsel for the petitioner is challenging the issuance of an extract of the Property Register in respect to his property which is titled as Form-B Property Register Extract. 2. The petitioner contends that, there is no provision to have two separate registers and the statutory requires only one register to be followed. 3. It may be pertinent to state here that, during the pendency of this petition, the BBMP Act has been enacted which provides for two registers to be maintained. One for lawful land and buildings and the other for unlawful land and buildings. It is therefore clear that, the statute as it stands now permits the creation of two registers which - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:7528 WP No. 13390 of 2017 would fundamentally indicate the legality of the structures or the sites that are been formed. 4. In the light of the above, the prayer sought for in this writ petition by the petitioners cannot be considered and the same is therefore rejected.
