Shri Yatindra Pathak, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of Nagar Nigam, Lucknow by way of filing Vakalatnama, which is taken on record. Learned Standing Counsel, on the basis of instructions, has stated that the alleged complaint regarding encroachment of road by the street vendors, particularly in front of the petitioners' shop is baseless, once the Nagar Nigam has time and again carried out the drives for removal of any such temporary encroachment by the street vendors. It is assured that the necessary measures shall be taken and at present there is no such encroachment as alleged. Accordingly, we provide that in case there is any blockage on the road or inconvenience is caused to the local market places, necessary steps be taken to warn the street vendors not to obstruct the egress or ingress to the local shops and also not to obstruct the smooth flow of the transport on the road.
