1. Proceedings in the present contempt petition have been initiated for non- compliance of the judgment dated 18.02.2016 passed in SWP No. 2707/2012 titled “Shaheen Akhter and another vs. State of J&K and others”.
2. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that no appointment has been made pursuant to the judgment dated 18.02.2016 passed in SWP No. 2707/2012.
3. The Rehbar-e-Taleem Scheme came to be closed vide Government
Order No. 919-Edu of 2018 dated 16.11.2018. The said Government
Order is the subject matter of challenge in the case titled “Rukhsana Jabeen vs. State of J&K and others”, which is presently pending
consideration before the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
4. In view of the above and the fact that no engagement has been made pursuant to judgment dated 18.02.2016, the proceedings in the present contempt petition are closed, with liberty to the petitioner to revive the
same in case cause survives after the decision of the Hon’ble Apex Court with regard to the Rehbar-e-Taleem Scheme.
