Notice. Mr. L.N. Sharma, learned Additional Advocate General, appears and waives service of notice on behalf of the respondents.

With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the matter is heard at this stage.

The writ petition has been filed for the grant of following substantive reliefs:-
“i) That a Writ in the nature of mandamus may very kindly be issued directing the respondents to grant the initial of the pay-scale attached to the post of Lecturer Economics (School Cadre) and revised from time to time from initial date of appointment on contract basis as per the law settled by this Hon’ble Court in LPA No.105/2010, titled State of H.P. & Others Versus Rakesh Chand & Others, decided on 13-12-2012.

ii) That a writ in the nature of Certiorari may very kindly be issued and quash the order dated 14-10-2003 by calling the same from respondent No.1 & 2 in the interest of justice.”

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has preferred a representation to the respondents on 05.12.2023 (Annexure P/1) for claiming the above reliefs. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner would be content in case the respondents/ competent authority(s) are directed to decide the aforesaid representation within a fixed time schedule. Learned Additional Advocate General is not averse to this prayer.

Having regard to the afore-submissions, but without examining the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with direction to the respondents/ competent authority to consider and decide the aforesaid representation of the petitioner dated 05.12.2023 (Annexure P/1) in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from today. The decision so arrived at shall also be communicated to the petitioner.
The writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
