The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Jorapokhar P.S. Case No. 93 of 2024, S.T. Case No.548 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 413/414/34 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of Sri Prafulla Kumar, learned District & Additional Sessions Judge-IV, Dhanbad. Bail application of the petitioner was earlier rejected by this Court vide B.A. No. 8435/2024 by order dated 09.01.2025. During the intervening night of 14/15.06.2024, Jorapokhar Police while on patrolling duty apprehended the petitioner along with co-accused persons from a place near Barari Pond. It is alleged that when the accused persons were apprehended, they were distributing booty of theft. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the police has recovered certain incriminating articles which are said to be stolen properties, but nobody has turned up to claim those articles. It was further submitted that petitioner has remained in custody for about one year. Considering the period of custody, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Sri Prafulla Kumar, learned District & Additional Sessions Judge-IV, Dhanbad in connection with Jorapokhar P.S.
