The present C-528 application has arisen out of the order dated 24.10.2025 passed by the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Kotdwar, Pauri Garhwal in Criminal Revision No. 8 of 2024, as well as the order dated 23.01.2024 passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, Kotdwar, Pauri Garhwal in Criminal Case No. 997 of 2022, which itself arose from F.I.R./Case Crime No. 0231 of 2021 registered under Sections 498A, 323, 504, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, along with Sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act at Police Station Kotdwar, Pauri Garhwal. 4. Today, the case is taken up today before the National Lok Adalat. 5. Ms. Reena Rawat, daughter of the applicant/complainant, is present through Video Conferencing. 6. The matter pertains to matrimonial discord between the daughter of the applicant, namely, Reena Rawat and respondents nos. 2 to 6. 7. Before the Lok Adalat, the parties have amicably agreed to settle the dispute. As per the settlement, the dispute between the applicant’s daughter and her husband has now been resolved. The matter has been settled between the applicant and his daughter, and a divorce decree has been filed. Accordingly, the applicant and his daughter do not wish to pursue the present application and have prayed that they be permitted to withdraw the same. 8. In view of the compromise arrived at between the parties before the Lok Adalat, the present C-528 application is disposed of accordingly. 9. The compromise sheet shall form part of the record.
