Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:25826 Court No. - 18 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 4930 of 2025 Petitioner :- Smt. Reena Singh Respondent :- State Of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Revenue Deptt. Lko. And Another Counsel for Petitioner :- Narvind Kumar Singh Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Karunesh Singh Pawar,J. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. Through this writ petition, the petitioner prays for the following reliefs:- "(1) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus may be issued commanding the opposite parties to allow the petitioner grade pay 4200/- w.e.f. 15.11.2016 alongwith all consequential service benefits. (2) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus may be issued commanding the opposite parties to decide the representation dated 26.03.2025 contained in annexure no. 6 to this writ petition." Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that although the petitioner became entitled to the benefit of the second ACP, carrying a grade pay of Rs. 4200/-, upon completion of 16 years of service on 15.11.2016, he was instead granted only a grade pay of Rs. 2800/- as on that date. In contrast, one of the petitioner’s juniors, namely Shailendra Kumar Singh, was granted the grade pay of Rs. 4200/-. It is thus contended that the petitioner has been subjected to hostile discrimination. After arguing the matter at length, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to respondent no. 2 to decide the petitioner’s representation within a stipulated time frame. Learned Standing Counsel has no objection to this innocuous prayer. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation before respondent no. 2 within two weeks from today. If such a representation is submitted, respondent no. 2 shall consider and decide the same by a reasoned and speaking order within a further period of four weeks. With these observations, the petition stands disposed of. Order Date :- 5.5.2025 R.C. Digitally signed by :- RAM CHANDER YADAV High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, Lucknow Bench
