Mr. Dushyant Mainali, learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. Mr. Naryan Dutt, learned Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand. 3. Petitioner was appointed as Assistant Teacher L.T. Grade in Garhwal Division and he is presently posted at Government Higher Secondary School, Mehargaon, Gairsain, Chamoli. Petitioner had requested for inter-region transfer and he had indicated his choice for Government Inter College, Lamachaur, Haldwani, District Nainital. 4. Since petitioner’s request was not being considered, therefore, he has filed this writ petition, seeking the following relief:- (i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent authorities to permit inter-divisional transfer of the petitioner from Government Higher Secondary School Mahargaon, Gairsain, District Chamoli to Government Inter College, Lamachaur, Haldwani or Government Inter College Khuraikhatta, Haldwani, District Nainital in terms of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Education (Trained Graduate Category) (Amendment) Service Rules, 2024 and the SOP issued in consequence thereof vide Government Order dated 04.06.2024. (ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari for quashing the order dated 14.11.2022, passed by the Director, Secondary Education, Uttarakhand (Annexure No. 2 to the writ petition), 2025:UHC:2657 whereby the representation of the petitioner seeking inter-divisional transfer has been rejected. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner will submit a fresh option to the Competent Authority, regarding some Institution at a Durgam place in Kumaon Divsion. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to submit option for a Durgam place in Kumaon Region, within one week from today. If petitioner makes representation within stipulated time, the Competent Authority shall take decision on petitioner’s representation for inter- regional transfer, within three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
