Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:27477 Court No. - 18 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 4799 of 2025 Petitioner :- Pooja Pal Respondent :- State Of U.P. Thru. Secy. Bal Vikas Evam Pushtahar U.P. Lko. And 4 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- N.K. Pandey Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Karunesh Singh Pawar,J. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing counsel for respondent Nos. 1 to 4. Learned Standing Counsel, on the basis of written instructions, has submitted that as per the select list under the BPL category, one Archana Yadav secured the highest merit score of 19.127. However, since she did not appear for physical verification, the opportunity was extended to the second-ranked candidate, i.e., respondent no. 5 in the petition, who secured 12.50 marks and was consequently selected. So far as the petitioner is concerned, she secured 11.206 marks which is lower than the selected candidate and thus, she came at the third spot in the merit list of BPL category.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has disputed the marks computed by the respondents, asserting that the petitioner obtained higher marks than the selected candidate. Perused the record, so also the relevant government order dated 21.03.2023, the eligibility list, and the application forms submitted by all three candidates. This Court finds no illegality in the selection of respondent no.
5. The petition being devoid of merit, is accordingly dismissed.
