THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR ORDERS, THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER: Digitally signed by LEELAVATHI S R Location: High Court of Karnataka - 2 - NC: 2025:KHC:2335 CRL.P No. 617 of 2025 CORAM: HON'BLE MR JUSTICE S.R.KRISHNA KUMAR ORAL ORDER In this petition, the petitioner seeks the following reliefs: “To allow this Memorandum of Criminal Petition by quashing the entire proceedings in C.C.No.61343/2023 pending on the file of XXIX Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bengaluru initiated against the petitioner for an offences punishable under Section 498A, 323, 504 and 506 of IPC in the interest of justice and equity.” 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner-accused No.1 and learned counsel for 2nd respondent- have filed a Joint Compromise petition duly signed by the petitioner, 2nd respondent and their respective counsel and the same is taken on record. 3. Petitioner-accused No.1 and respondent No.2 are physically present before the Court and they admit the contents of the joint compromise petition, which reads as under:- “That the petitioners herein are the accused No.1 in C.C.No.61343/2023 registered by Kothanuru P.S. pending in the Court of XXIX Addl. Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bangalore, initiated as against the petitioner based on the complaint filed by respondent No.2 for offences punishable under Section 498A, 323, 504, 506 of IPC. That the Petitioner in the above case and the complaint/Respondent - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:2335 CRL.P No. 617 of 2025 No.2 have compromised and settled the dispute between them on the intervention of the Mediator in M.C.No.691/2023, relatives and well-wishers accordingly both the petitioner and Respondent No.2 are rejoin to lead their happy marital life, hence the complainant/respondent No.2 do not wish to continue with the above case as against the petitioner in the above criminal petition as well as C.C.No.61343/2023 pending in the Court of XXIX Addl. Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bangalore. Wherefore, it is humbly prayed that, this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to permit the above named petitioner and the respondent No.2/Complainant to compound and compromise the above case in the interest of justice.” 4. In view of the aforesaid compromise entered into between the petitioner and 2nd respondent, the impugned criminal proceedings in C.C.No.61343/2023 pending on the file of the XXIX Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bengaluru, are hereby quashed. 5.
