The writ on hand has been instituted to direct the respondents to take necessary steps to eradicate the issue of water scarcity in the petitioner's Village, namely Pagalavadi, by implementing the Cauvery Combined Water Supply Scheme as per G.O(MS)No.58, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (WS4) Department, dated 23.03.2015, by erecting additional pipeline in the existing 900 feet bore well, the installation of a new 7-1/2 HP motor pump for effective water supply, digging of a newly sanctioned bore well and by preventing the illegal sucking of water from the supply pipeline by using motor pumps. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the fourth respondent, based on the written instructions, submitted that water has been supplied to the Villagers uninterruptedly, more specifically, to 293 beneficiaries in Pagalavadi Village. This habitation is one of the beneficiaries of combined water supply scheme to Thuraiyur Municipality. Now cauvery water is being supplied to Pagalavady Panchayat on regular basis from CWSS to 293 rural habitations. 7.It is submitted that the petitioner requests to erect 7.50 HP pumpset and pipe into the depth of 900 feet into the borewell and to dig new borewell as sanctioned by the District Administrative. This demand will be executed by the local body. 8.Further I inform that the petitioner approached the TWAD board officials in person through petition submitted to Collector inn GD meeting & CM cell petition regarding water supply to Pagalavady Panchayat from the CWSS to 293 habitations.
