1. Issue notice to the respondents.
2. Mr. Eishaan Dadhichi, learned CGSC accepts notice on behalf of respondents No. 1 & 2 and Ms. Chetna Manhas, learned counsel on behalf of respondents No. 3 to 5.
3. The grievance of the petitioner in the instant petition is that he had applied for fresh passport on 24.12.2024 vide file No. JM1060518252 and the requisite charges were deposited by him. It has been submitted that about ten months have passed since making of the application by the petitioner but no action is being taken by the respondents in the matter. In these circumstances, the petitioner has sought a direction upon the respondents to issue passport in his favour. Sr. No. 191

4. Having regard to the nature of relief that is being sought by the petitioner in this writ petition, the same can be disposed of, at this stage itself by extending appropriate directions to the respondents.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents No. 3 & 5 to furnish the report relating to the character antecedents of the petitioner to respondent No. 2 within a period of one month from today. Upon receipt of the report from respondents No. 3 & 5, respondent No. 2 shall pass appropriate orders on the application of the petitioner for grant of passport within a further period of one month as per rules.

Disposed of, accordingly.
7. A copy of this order be sent to respondents No. 2, 3 & 5 for information and compliance.
