Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to constitute a high level analysis or review and executive committee under the Chairmanship of Hon'ble Chief Justice of Madras High Court and membership of 3 Hon'ble sitting Judges to look in to the feasibilities to teach any of these arts to all the students from preliminary Education to Higher Education, and to formulate and design the curriculum to teach these arts with the help of experts and directing the respondents 1 to 6 and all the other competent authorities a) to accept the recommendation of this proposed committee and enact a Special Act in Legislative Assembly to include Traditional Tamil arts in to the curriculum and impose this act from the next academic year in all the schools and colleges even including this schools affiliated to central board of school education if possible, b) for appointing learned instructors and traditional artists in those arts in all Academic Institutions, c) undergoing proper training in Martial arts and other traditional arts in Academic Institution should be mandatory and special marks, certificate and priorities in providing employment opportunities in Government Department 2/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.9614 of 2019 through special reservations should be given, d) to take necessary steps for establishing special training centers for ancient Tamil Cultural Arts at all District head quarters to teach the above said arts to the general public apart from the above denoted setup in the Academic Institutions and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with the nature and current atmosphere in this matter along with the above requested recommendations, suggestions, requisition by considering the petitioners representation dated 19.02.2019.
