P.P. for the State. The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected twice in B.A. No. 4839 of 2023 and B.A. No. 2651 of 2024. Submission has been advanced by the learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner that out of 12 charge- sheet witnesses 06 witnesses have been examined and the trial is prolonging without any justifiable reasons. It has further been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 01.12.2021. Learned Spl P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. It appears that the specific allegation of assaulting the deceased with a knife has been made against the petitioner. In view of the aforesaid, therefore, I am not inclined to reconsider the prayer for bail of the petitioner which stands rejected once again at this stage. (Rongon Mukhopadhyay, J.) A. Sanga/-
