Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri S.B. Pandey, learned Senior Advocate & DGSI assisted by Sri Varun Pandey, learned counsel for opposite party nos.1 and 2. 2. This petition has been filed in the name of a minor Rohan Jonathan Singh through his father being aggrieved by non- issuance of passport in the name of petitioner. However, learned counsel for Union of India says that there is some doubt about citizenship of the petitioner as the petitioner could not produce citizenship certificate and the petitioner appears to be domicile of Nepal, a fact which is being refuted by the petitioner's counsel. However, learned counsel for the Union of India says that proceedings are still pending and some information has been sought from intelligence department. 3. Let a decision be taken in the matter by opposite party no.2 at the earliest say within four weeks. The State authorities especially the local intelligence unit concerned is directed to respond to the request of opposite party no.2 at the earliest unless there is any legal impediment in this regard in which case the same shall be informed.
