Through the medium of the present petition, the petitioner is seeking a direction upon the respondent No. 4, to allow him to join/perform his duties as Driver in the respondent department. A further direction commanding the respondents to release the withheld wages in his favor has also been sought. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that pursuant to interim order dated 1-8-2025, the petitioner has been allowed to join his duties, and an order bearing number 69-BMOZ/2026 dated 31-01-2026, has been issued by respondent No. 4. A copy of the same is produced, which is taken on record. It is further provided in the said order that the matter with regard to release of withheld wages has been taken up with the competent authority. 3. In view of the aforesaid order issued by respondent No. 4, the petition can be disposed of at this stage without waiting for the reply of the respondents. 4. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 4 to continue to allow the petitioner to perform his duties uninterruptedly and to release all legitimately earned wages in his favor in accordance with law. The withheld wages shall be released in favor of the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date a copy of this order is served upon respondent No. 4, failing which it shall carry interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of passing of this order. 5. The petition stands disposed of. CCP(S) No. 304/2025 In view of the fact that main writ petition has been disposed of, the contempt proceedings are closed.
