1. The present contempt petition filed under Articles 215 of the Constitution of India read with Section 12 of the Contempt of Court Act for non-compliance of the order dated 02.05.2023 passed by this court in WPC No. 1720 of 2023. Vide order dated 02.05.2023 this court has passed the order/direction in WPC NO. 1720 of 2023 as under:-
2 In the even, if , upon verification of facts, it is found that the petitioner are not paid the compensation that they are entitled for then the entire compensation amount shall carry simple interest thereon at the rate of 10% per annum from the date the impugned award was passed. However, the payment of interest part shall be applicable only in the event, if, on verification, it is found that the non-releasing of the amount was on account of any inaction on the part of the petitioners.

Learned counsel for the petitioners and learned counsel for the respondents contended that the order of this court has already been complied with.
3. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record with utmost circumspection.
4. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the respective parties this court has found that the order passed by this court in WPC No. 1720 of 2023 on 02.05.2023 has duly been complied with and there remains no willful disobedience on the part of the respondents. Hence the present contempt petition against the respondents is closed and is disposed of accordingly. sd/-
