Court No. - 1 Case :- PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION (PIL) No. - 416 of 2025 Petitioner :- Tejpal Singh And 9 Others Respondent :- State Of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Revenue Deptt. Lko. And 6 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Dheeraj Srivastava,Anil Kumar Maurya Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Attau Rahman Masoodi,J. Hon'ble Ajai Kumar Srivastava-I,J. Ten persons have joined to institute the present public interest litigation. Joining of ten persons in this petition with uncertain credentials, even if not doubted, yet we do not find that the administrative authorities have duly been approached for espousing any public cause. For the sort of relief prayed here-in-this writ petition, it is incumbent upon a social activist to approach the competent authority at the state level by effectively assisting them on the basis of tangible material so that failure to take any action on such a representation may give rise to a cause of action in public interest. In the present case however we do not find that the petitioners have adopted any such diligence. The present writ petition at this stage is prayed to be withdrawn as not pressed. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed as withdrawn. (Ajai Kumar Srivastava-I,J. ) (Attau Rahman Masoodi,J.)
