JUSTICE AHANTHEM BIMOL SINGH O R D E R 04-06-2025 Heard Mr. Th. Jugindro, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr. Th. Vashum, learned GA appearing for the respondents. In view of the limited prayer made on behalf of the petitioner and as agreed to by both the counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is being disposed of at the Motion stage itself. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that even though the petitioner is a regular employee of the State Government serving as an Assistant Teacher in the Department of Education (S), Government of Manipur, his monthly pay and allowances has not been released by the authorities since the month of November, 2010 till today on the ground that his Employee Identification No. has not been uploaded/ updated in the Manipur Government Employees List. On account of the non-releasing of his monthly pay and allowances, the petitioner and his dependant family members are suffering a lot and as such, the petitioner has already approached the Director of Education (S), Government of Manipur, by filing a representation dated 15-04-2025 with a request for updating his Employee Identification No. 061512 in the Manipur Government Employees List as early as possible and to release his monthly pay and allowances since the month of November, 2010. Supp. IN. 1 SHOUGRAKPAM DEVANANDA SINGH Digitally signed by SHOUGRAKPAM DEVANANDA SINGH Date: 2025.06.04 13:28:12 +05'30' WP(C) No. 448 of 2025 Contd…/- The learned counsel submitted that the said representation is still pending for consideration by the Director of Education (S), Government of Manipur and as such, the learned counsel made a prayer for disposing of this writ petition by issuing a direction to the Director of Education (S), Government of Manipur to consider the said representation and to dispose of the same by issuing appropriate orders within a stipulated period. Mr. Th. Mr. Th. Vashum, learned GA appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that as the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner is confined to the consideration and disposing of the representation submitted by him, he has no objection in disposing of the present writ petition as prayed for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Taking into consideration the submissions advanced by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, this court is of the considered view that it will be in the interests of justice to issue the following directions:- (i) The Director of Education (S), Government of Manipur, is hereby directed to consider the representation dated 15-04-2025 submitted by the petitioner as early as possible and to dispose of the same by issuing appropriate orders; and (ii) It is made clear that the whole exercise should be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition is disposed of. JUDGE Devananda - 2 -
