The facts and circumstances in which the petitioner, as seventeen years’ old minor acting through her elder sister-Shahnaz Akhter has come to petition this Court seeking safety and security of her person from suffering any harm at the end of respondents No. 4 to 10 have been spelled out in the writ petition. 02. The institution of this writ petition came to take place on 09.02.2023 meaning thereby as on date the petitioner has become major. 03. This writ petition is disposed with a direction to the respondent No. 2-Senior Superintendent of Police-(SSP), Serial No. 28 Supplementary List-1 2 WP(C) No. 259/2023 Poonch and to the respondent No. 3-SHO Police Station, Mendhar to ensure that the petitioner is not subjected to any harm in any manner whatsoever by reference to the alleged fact of being forcibly married to the respondent No. 4-Ghulam Murtaza from whose family’s end the petitioner was being threatened to be forcibly taken away. 04. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of in the light of the aforesaid direction and in case the petitioner would reckon that she is being subjected to threats and harassment at the end of the respondents No. 4 to 10 then the petitioner shall be entitled to approach the respondent No. 2-Senior Superintendent of Police-(SSP), Poonch with a complaint who shall then be duty bound to immediately enquire into the matter and ensure safety and security of the person of the petitioner. 05.
