The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is being troubled by respondent No.5 and is repeatedly being called to the police station, where he is being pressured to hand over the gold ornaments pledged by respondent Nos.7 and 8. 2. It is submitted that the gold ornaments were pledged by the respondent Nos.7 and 8, and that the petitioner is in the business of extending finance on the pledge of gold. 3. The learned Assistant Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that Crime No.457 of 2023 under Section 420 of the IPC is registered with the 4th respondent police station, and that the petitioner is shown as a receiver of gold. In that regard, the 4th respondent has issued a letter to the Managing Partner of Sri Varalakshmi Financiers, a company of which the petitioner is the Proprietor, to produce the original application form of pledging party and to produce the documents relating to the ornaments pledged by Accused Nos.1 and 2 in Crime No.457 of 2023. 4. Considering the submissions of the learned Assistant Government Pleader, no further directions are required. Accordingly, the writ petition is closed.
