Heard Shri Syed Aftab Ahmad, learned Counsel for the petitioner, Shri Namit Sharma, learned Counsel for the Nagar Nigam and learned Standing Counsel for the State. 2. The petitioner claims to have initiated some proceedings for demarcation of Gata No.762 in respect of which he claims to be recorded. If it is so, the Sub Divisional Magistrate concerned should do the needful and conclude the proceedings at the earliest unless there is any legal impediment. At this Stage, Shri Namit Sharma, learned Counsel for the Nagar Nigam says that the Nagar Nigam proposes to initiate proceedings for demarcation of Gata No.719 which is recorded as Chak marg, if it is so, then it is free to do so. As regards, the remaining Gata No.718, petitioner's Counsel says that private opposite parties are recorded in respect thereof, if they want they can also get their land demarcated. We fail to understand as to for what reason this writ petition has been filed. 3. Based on the aforesaid exercise, if there is any encroachment, the parties can avail remedies as may be prescribed in law. 4.
