Mr. Chandra Mauli Shah, learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. Mr. Rajesh Pandey, learned Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand. 3. According to petitioner, he has moved an application seeking demarcation under Section 41 of Land Revenue Act, 1901. In this writ petition, petitioner has sought a direction to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Ranikhet, District Almora to decide said application at an early date. 4. Learned State Counsel submits that petitioner is a resident of Lucknow and he very seldom comes to Ranikhet, therefore, there is no one from the family of petitioner to apprise the Revenue Authorities about the land belonging to him. 5. Learned counsel for petitioner, however, submits that petitioner will visit Ranikhet as and when Revenue Authorities visit the land in question for demarcation. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by directing Sub-Divisional Officer, Ranikhet to consider and decide petitioner’s application for demarcation, within nine months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. Petitioner shall inform, in writing, to the Revenue Authorities concerned about the 2025:UHC:446 impending visit to Ranikhet so that Revenue Authorities shall arrange for demarcation of the land on the said date.
