The present petition has been filed by the petitioner with the following prayer: “It is, therefore, prayed that this Hon’ble Court in exercise of its inherent powers under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. may kindly be pleased to allow this petition and thereby quash the impugned FIR bearing Crime No. 1303 of 2021 registered at Police Station Civil Lines, Bilaspur against the petitioner and the consequently quash the entire criminal proceedings arising therefrom, in the interest of justice.” 3. From the office note dated 12.09.2025, it is evident that in the present petition several defects were pointed out by the Registry. Although the petition was filed in the year 2024, the learned counsel for the petitioner has not removed the said defects till date. This reflects that the petition was filed in a casual manner. In these circumstances, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the present petition, with liberty reserved to file a fresh petition in accordance with law. 4. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn with the aforesaid liberty, as prayed for subject to depositing a sum of Rs.2,000/- as cost by the petitioner before the Registry of this Court and submit a receipt of the same at the time of filing of the fresh petition, if any, and the amount so deposited, if any, shall be transmitted to the Special 3 School for Intellectually Handicapped Girls, District Narayanpur (C.G.). 5. Certified copies of the FIR, charge-sheet and other documents, if any, shall be returned to the petitioner after retaining photocopies thereof for the record.
