Ms. M. Hajong, learned counsel for the applicant has submitted that this instant application has been filed by the applicant for condonation of delay in preferring the related criminal appeal, the same being directed against the judgment and order dated 13.09.2024 passed by the learned Special Judge (POCSO), West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin. 2. The learned counsel further submits that there has been a delay of 13 days in filing the appeal, the grounds being that the appellant did not receive the certified copy of the judgment and order on time, and also, it took some time for a counsel to be engaged in this matter. Accordingly, she prays that the delay may be condoned and the appeal be taken on board. 3. Mr. S. Sengupta, learned Addl. PP for the State respondent has 2025:MLHC:436-DB 3 no objection to the prayer for condonation of the delay. 4. On consideration of the prayer made, we are convinced that the grounds cited for the delay are sufficient grounds. Accordingly, the delay of 13 days in preferring the appeal is condoned. 5. Misc.
