PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following ORDER: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the BNSS, has been filed by the petitioner/A1, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.32 of 2025 of A. Koduru Police Station, Visakhapatnam. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein and others for the offences punishable under Section 20(b)(ii)(B) r/w 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short ‘the NDPS Act’). 2 TMR, J Crl.P.3523_2025 case are that on 11.03.2025. while the to board a bus to go to Koduru Police Station found the grams of liquid Ganja. On the other hand, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor vehemently opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner and submits that the petitioner herein has no previous criminal antecedents. 6. Heard. Perused the record. 7. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the contraband alleged to be seized from the possession of petitioner/AI is only 900 grams of liquid ganja which is not of commercial quantity. It is submitted that the petitioner has permanent abode at Guntur and there i no possibility of he fleeing away from the justice. Since the contraband involved in the present crime is not a IS commercial quantity, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner herein. 8. In the result, the criminal petition is allowed with the following conditions: 3 TMR,r Crl.P.3523_2025 i. The petitioner herein/A1 shall be released on bail on executing a personal bond for Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) with two (02) sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of the learned I Additional District & Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge for trial of Offences under NDPS Act, Visakhapatnam. ii. On release, the petitioner shall appear before the Station House Officer concerned, once in a fortnight i.e., on 1st and 15th of every month between 10.00 AM and 01.00 PM., for a period of three (3) months. iii. The petitioner shall make himself available for investigation as and when required and that he shall not cause any threat, inducement or promise to the prosecution witnesses.
