This contempt petition has been filed on the ground that the respondents had not considered the petitioner’s representation, as has been directed to do so vide order dated 21.08.2017 passed in WP(C) 4612/2016. As no one appears for the petitioner or the respondents on call, it is unclear whether the order dated 21.08.2017 passed in WP(C) 4612/2016 has been complied with, as on date. In view of the fact that the petitioner has not appeared before this Court, this Court is of the view that the contempt petition can be closed, as the same gives rise to an inference that the petitioner is not interested in persuing the matter. However, in the event it is later found that the order of this Court has Page No.# 3/3 not been complied with and the same has caused prejudice to the petitioner, the contempt petition may be revived, as per law.
