Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing counsel for the State-respondent. Learned A.C.S.C. has produced the written instructions along with annexures which are taken on record. A perusal of the instructions shows that respondent No.5 has secured higher merit i.e. 11.788 and is a candidate of below poverty line category as against the petitioner who is also a below poverty line category candidate however, she has secured lesser merit than the respondent No.5. The merit secured by the petitioner is 10.100 and therefore, the selection of the respondent No.5 has been done strictly on the basis of merit, the petitioner has been outperformed in merit by the respondent No.5. The selections have been made pursuant to the Government Order dated 21.03.2023 which laid down the guidelines for selection on the post of Anganwadi Karyakarti. There appears to be no illegality in the selection and hence, the writ petition being devoid of merits is accordingly dismissed.
