Ashang, learned GA appearing for the respondents. It has been submitted by the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner that the petitioner was initially appointed as Muster Roll worker in the year 2000 and since then, he has been rendering service for about 25 years. The learned senior counsel submitted that the present writ petition may be disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioner to approach to the concerned authorities of the State Government seeking for conversion of his service from Muster Roll basis to the Work Charge basis and also directing the authorities to consider the said representation and to dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order within a stipulated period. Ashang, learned GA appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that he has no objection in disposing of this writ petition as prayed for by the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, this Court is of the considered view that it will be in the interest of justice to issue the following directions :- (i) The petitioner is at liberty to submit a detailed representation to the concerned authorities of the State Government seeking for considering his case for conversion of the service of Muster Roll basis to the Work Charge basis. The said representation be submitted within a period of three weeks from today. (ii) In the event of submitting such representation by the petitioner, the concerned authorities of the State Government is hereby directed to consider the said representation on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable rules/ guidelines and to dispose of the same by issuing an appropriate order. Page 3 (iii) The whole exercise should be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the said representation. With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition is disposed of. It is made clear that this Court has not touch the merit of this case. JUDGE Dhakeshori
