The Criminal Petition is filed, under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short, 'BNSS'), seeking to quash the proceedings against the petitioner / A.2 in Cr.No.01/RCO-CIU-ACB/2025 of Central Investigation Unit, Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada, for the offence punishable under sections 7, 7A of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 and sections 384, 120B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. During the investigation, the investigating officer subsequently altered the offence under Section 384 IPC to Section 386 IPC. 2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he wants to file a fresh criminal petition incorporating all subsequent developments. He further submits that, due to the absence of certain material facts and documents at the time of filing, he is unable to raise all necessary contentions in the present petition. 3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Public Prosecutor. 4. In light of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the permission sought is hereby granted. Accordingly, the petitioner is permitted to file a fresh Criminal Petition, enclosing all relevant material and articulating all appropriate contentions. 5. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. _____________________________ JUSTICE T.
