Impugned in this petition, filed by the Union of India under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is an order dated 09.09.2021 passed in OA No. 149/2019 titled “Parshotam Singh vs. Union of India and others”. 2. The impugned judgment is challenged on multiple grounds, however, at the time of arguments, Mr. Vishal Sharma, learned DSGI has brought to our notice the proceedings of Re-assessment Medical Board conducted in respect of the respondent in compliance with the judgment. He submits that the Re-assessment Medical Board has assessed the disability of the respondent at 50 percent for life, however, neither attributable nor aggravated by the army services. Copy of the opinion of the Re-assessment Medical Board is taken on record. Serial No. 11 2 WP(C) No. 1232/2025 3. In view of the compliance with the judgment impugned, this petition has been rendered infructuous. 4. In view of the aforesaid, this petition along with the connected application is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous. However, the respondent shall be free to challenge the opinion of the Re-assessment Medical Board, if he is so aggrieved, in accordance with law.
