Learned counsel for the respondents states at Bar, that this dispute between the parties had been referred for determination to the Pre-Lok Adalat Session of National Lok Adalat held on 03.05.2025, wherein Award dated 03.05.2025 was passed, the operative portion whereof reads thus: “The parties have arrived at mutual consent and as per the settlement, the Appellant/ Claimant has agreed for lumpsum amount of Rs. 2,00,000/- (Rs. Two Lac Only) over and above the award, if any, already received by the Claimant, which shall be payable by the Respondent Oriental Insurance Company to the Claimant/Appellant. The Insurance Company shall deposit the aforesaid amount Mac App No. 120/2024 within a period of 60 days with the Registry of Hon'ble High Court” 2. In terms of the Lok Adalat Award dated 03.05.2025, a cheque bearing No. 89330 for an amount of Rs. 2,00,000/- (Rs. Two Lac Only) dated 03.06.2025, had been deposited with to the Registry of this Court. 3. In view of the above, this appeal, is disposed of as settled.
