Learned Standing Counsel, on the basis of written instructions, has submitted that there are two posts of Anganwari Karyakatri in the village, both of which are reserved for candidates belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC). As the petitioner belongs to the General category, her candidature cannot be considered for selection to these posts. In light of the aforesaid instructions, although the petitioner is presently working as an Assistant Anganwari Worker, she is not eligible for selection to a post reserved for the OBC category, as she admittedly does not belong to that category.
