1. This is an ofÏce reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 09.08.2024 passed in CRMP No. 2098 of 2024, while disposing of the petition of the petitioner, namely, National Investigation Agency Represented by Chief Investigation OfÏcer (CIO), had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment.
3. The learned Special Judge, N.I.A. Bastar, District-Jagdalpur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 05.02.2025 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial.
4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that currently, the N.I.A. has completed its prosecution evidence on 05.02.2025 and the date has been fixed for the statement of the accused on 05.02.2025 and after the accused statement, there is a possibility of defence evidence being given by the accused as well. Hence, the conclusion of the trial may take some more time.
5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is
directed to secure the presence of the witnesses in accordance with law to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of two months from today.
6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid
