Court No. - 18 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 4446 of 2025 Petitioner :- Annpurna Rawat Respondent :- State Of U.P. Thru. Secy. Bal Vikas Awam Pustahar Deptt. U.P. Lko. And 3 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Neeraj Pandey,Suresh Chandra Tiwari Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Karunesh Singh Pawar,J. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State. Present petition is been filed for issuance of a writ of certiorari quashing final selection list dated 12.3.2025 for Anganbadi Recruitment 2024 relating to village Sisni, Bhuwalpur, district Raebareli, with a further writ of mandamus directing appointing authority to consider candidature of the petitioner for selection as Anganbadi Karyakatri in light of G.O. dated
16.12.2003. Learned Standing Counsel, on the basis of written instructions which are taken on record, submits that the petitioner and respondent No.4 both are BPL category candidate. It is submitted that the respondent No.4 has secured 12.95 marks whereas the petitioner has secured 11.673 and as such the private respondent has been selected strictly on the basis of merit. The petitioner has not been selected on the basis of her lesser merit. I have considered the submission and perused the record. On due consideration to the fact that the selection of respondent No.4 has been done strictly in
accordance with the guidelines issued vide G.O. dated 21.3.2023 para 3(ga) and 7, both the candidates are from BPL category and since the petitioner has been out-scored in terms of merit, I find no illegality in the order impugned. The petition being devoid of merit is dismissed. Order Date :- 1.5.2025 kkb/ Digitally signed by :- KRISHNA KUMAR BARANWAL High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, Lucknow Bench
