Heard the learned counsel for the applicant, the learned A.G.A. for the State and perused the record. 2. This is the third application seeking release of the applicant on bail in Case Crime No.229 of 2001, under Sections 2/3 of U.P. Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986, registered at Police Station Lonar, District Hardoi. 3. Initially, the applicant was ordered to be released on bail by means of an order dated 20.08.2002 passed in Criminal Misc. Case No.3383 (B) of 2002. It appears that since his release on bail, the applicant did not ever appear before the trial court and a non-bailable warrant was issued in the year 2003. 4. The applicant has surrendered to custody on 18.01.2025 but thereafter, he filed a bail application No. 2426 of 2025, which was dismissed as not pressed by means of an order dated 02.04.2025. 5. Keeping in view the conduct of the applicant in not appearing before the trial court for a period of 23 years, this Court is of the considered view that the applicant is not entitled to be released on bail. 6. Accordingly, this third bail application stands rejected. 7. As the case is quite old, the trial court is directed to proceed with the trial without granting any unnecessary adjournment to any of the Versus Counsel for Applicant(s) : Rajat Pratap Singh Counsel for Opposite Party(s) : G.A.
