The petitioner contends that they have filed an application in the prescribed format before the appropriate authorities seeking the transfer of quarry lease for colour granite for the unexpired portion of the lease, which is up to 06.08.2032. However, no orders have been passed on the said application. 4. It is contended that pursuant to the said application, a survey and inspection were conducted by the respondent authorities. However, the petitioner could not participate in the said survey due to his health issues. Thereafter, the petitioner filed a representation dated 22.01.2024, seeking a request for the authorities to conduct the inspection and survey regarding the transfer of the application. 5. Today, when the matter was taken up for admission, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Mines and Geology appearing for the respondents stated that the application filed transfer of the quarry lease had been withdrawn by the said Sendil Kumar. Thus, it is contended that the petitioner has no right to seek transfer of the lease for the unexpired portion. 6. Having regard to the contentions advanced, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the 2nd and 3rd respondents to dispose of the representation filed by the petitioner, in accordance with the law, within four weeks from the date of receipt of this order. 7. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
