Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for respondent nos.1 to 3. By this petition, the petitioner has prayed for the following relief:- "(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus thereby commanding and directing the opposite parties to regularize the services of the petitioner on the post of Collection Peon in pursuance of the seniority list 2022-23 on the post lying vacant under 50% quota, in the interest of justice. (ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus thereby commanding and directing the opposite party no.2 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 5.4.2025 contained in Annexure No.6 to this writ petition by a speaking and reasoned order within a period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court, in the interest of justice." After arguing for sometime, learned counsel for the petitioner confines his prayer to the extent that the representation of the petitioner may be directed to be decided by respondent no.2. Learned Standing Counsel has no objection to this innocuous prayer. Perused the record. Considering the above, the petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to move a fresh representation to respondent no.2 i.e. District Magistrate, Pratapgarh within two weeks' from today. If the petitioner submits a fresh representation, the respondent no.2 shall decide the same within four weeks' thereafter, by passing a speaking and reasoned order.
