Petitioner Nos. 1, 2, 4 & 5 retired as Principal from Government Post College / Degree Colleges. Petitioner No. 3 retired as Reader in a Government Post Graduate College. All of them retired before 01.01.2006. 4. Petitioners contend that as per Office Memorandum/Corrigendum dated 14.10.2016, issued by Finance Department, Government of Uttarakhand, they are entitled to `27,350/- as pension. 5. This contention is disputed by learned State Counsel, who submits that since petitioners were holding different posts and the highest scale to which petitioners reached at the time of their superannuation was `16,400-20,000/-, therefore, they are not entitled to any further increase in the amount of pension, and whatever is due to them, is paid. 6. Learned counsel for petitioners, however, disputes this contention and submits that petitioners are being denied benefit of Office 2025:UHC:1838-DB Memorandum/Corrigendum dated 14.10.2016. 7. Without going into the merits of the case, this Court thinks that ends of justice would be met, if petitioners are permitted to make representation to the Secretary, Higher Education. 8. Accordingly, writ petition is disposed of by permitting petitioners to make representation(s) to the Secretary, Higher Education, Government of Uttarakhand. If petitioners make representation(s), within two weeks from today, Secretary, Higher Education shall examine their case and pass appropriate order, as per law, within five months from the date of receipt of representation(s).
