The petitioner is aggrieved by alleged encroachment on public land adjacent to his house which is earmarked for construction of a public drain. 4. Learned counsel for Nagar Nigam endorses the fact that the land in fact is marked for a public drain as per the report of revenue authorities. 5. Let opposite party nos.3 to 5 get the records verified, ascertain the nature of the land and if it is found that it is a public land for whatever purpose and there is some encroachment by private parties then they shall take necessary action as per law but with expedition.
