Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:25261 Court No. - 18 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 4403 of 2025 Petitioner :- Ranoo Devi Respondent :- State Of U.P. Thru. Secy. Women And Child Development Lko.And 5 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Ram Prasad Dwivedi Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Karunesh Singh Pawar,J. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing counsel for the respondents. By this petition, the petitioner seeks for the following relief:- "Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned order dated 03.03.2025 passed by opp. party no. 4 as contained in Annexure no. 6 to this writ petition in the interest of justice. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the opposite parties concerned to take the necessary action regarding the grievances of the petitioner raised in her application On Commissioner dated 19.02.2025 contained in Annexure no. 1 to this writ petition and permit and allow her for her counselling by the opp. parties concerned for her selection and appointment on the post of Aganbari Karyakatri and also appoint her if she is found eligible for same in the interest of justice." Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the residence certificate and caste certificate were not verified in accordance with Annexure No. 6. As a result, the petitioner was not shortlisted for the interview. Learned Standing Counsel, on the basis of instructions, submits that for the post of Anganwari Karyakatri, Smt. Rekha Devi, a widow belonging to the BPL category, has been selected. In contrast, the petitioner, Ranoo Devi, though from the BPL category, is not a widow and, therefore, was not selected. Perused the record. A perusal of the record reveals that the petitioner has neither sought any relief against the selected candidate nor impleaded her in the writ petition. Furthermore, as per the Government Order dated 31.03.2023, priority is to be given to widows during the selection process for the post of Anganwari Karyakatri. In view of the above, the writ petition, being devoid of merit, is dismissed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach this Court as and when the occasion arises.
