V/s Shahid Anayatullah and others ... Respondent(s) Through: Mr. Deewakar Sharma, Dy.A.G CORAM: HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE ORDER 19.12.2025 The petitioners pray for initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondents for willful defiance of the interim order dated August 23, 2013 passed by the Writ Court in SWP No. 1769/2013 & CMA No. 2572/2013 (Parshotam Lal and others Vs. Vide order, referred to above, the Writ Court while issuing notice had also directed the respondent-Authorities not to fill up three posts of Driver, Computer Operator and Orderly in Motor Vehicles Department and to release the wages due to the petitioners, if not already paid. The records show that vide a subsequent Order dated November 17, 2021, the main case itself was disposed of by the co-ordinate Bench in terms of the Order dated November 22, 2018 rendered in SWP No. 2319/2015 (Abdul Majid and others Vs. State of J&K and others) affirmed in LPA No. 22/2019 (State of Jammu & Kashmir and others Vs. Abdul Majid and others). That being so, learned counsel for the respondents submits that nothing substantive survives in the petition and the same be disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. Ordered accordingly.
