Applicant- Ankul, who is in judicial custody in connection with Case Crime/FIR No. 256 of 2024, under Sections 109, 125, 190, 191(2), 191 (3), 351 (2), 352, 61 (2) of B.N.S. & Section 3/25 of Arms Act, registered at Police Station Khanpur, District Haridwar, has sought his release on bail. 4. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record. 5. Learned counsel for the applicant would submit that the alleged incident took place on 20.10.2024, while the FIR was lodged on 21.1.2024; that, though, FIR was lodged against 11, however, charge sheet has been submitted only against the present applicant; that the applicant has been falsely implicated in the case; that, there is no independent witness of the alleged incident; that, the applicant is languishing in jail since 23.10.2024. 2025:UHC:5734 6. Learned counsel for the applicant would further submit that the injured has also turned hostile; that, there is no chance of absconding, therefore, the applicant may be released on bail. 7. Learned State Counsel would vehemently oppose the bail application, however, he would admit that the trial is likely to take considerable time. 8. In view of the above, but, without expressing any opinion about merits of the case before the Trial Court, this Court is of the view that this is a fit case for bail at this stage. 9. Let the applicant be released on bail, on his executing a personal bond and furnishing two reliable sureties, each of the like amount, to the satisfaction of the court concerned.
